## [Auto-expand metadata settings for singly selected IO](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/auto-expand-metadata-settings-for-singly-selected-io/100)

<div class="topic-metadata">

</div>

When selecting a single Input/Output on the sides of the graph, it would be nice to have the “Metadata” box unfolded by default, as the vertical space likely isn’t needed as it is when an entire bar is clicked.

## [Empty 'reroute' node point](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/empty-reroute-node-point/92)

</div>

An empty reroute ‘node’ to help clear up graphs a la Blender’s or Unreal’s, Substance Designer’s, etc. They’re all the same, except for SD’s, which feels a little more intuitive to me, but any solution would be grand to…

## [Object 'descriptor' selector for resolve node](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/object-descriptor-selector-for-resolve-node/93)

</div>

Copying and pasting from Resources into the Resolve node descriptor is a bit long, would be excellent if there was some sort of easier way - a dropdown box, or autofill, perhaps. I’m not totally sure what would work bes…

## [Hidden inputs (specified on the proc, not the instance)](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/hidden-inputs-specified-on-the-proc-not-the-instance/94)

</div>

I’ve taken to naming proc inputs with an underscore prefix to make sure I never attach anything externally to that input, as they are used entirely internally for recursion. eg. \_i for an iterator that would definitely …

## [Layout snap to grid](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/layout-snap-to-grid/96)

</div>

Another graph tidying request - to avoid spaghetti hell it would be great to have a simple “snap node to grid” feature. Maybe modifier key enabled while dragging a node, maybe a toggle somewhere. For references, Unreal…

## [Operator connectivity highlighting](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/operator-connectivity-highlighting/97)

</div>

I’m spending a bit of time hovering over \[connections/edges/noodles\], to try and see what a node is connected to using the excellent black/white hovering colours. It would be handy to have a version of that noodle highl…

## [Ctrl+tab/Ctrl+shift+tab cycling tabs](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/ctrl-tab-ctrl-shift-tab-cycling-tabs/98)

</div>

A simple, browser-like tab cycling to navigate easily between graph tabs. Ctrl+tab for right, Ctrl+shift+tab for left. Currently, pressing crl+tab enough times actually closes tabs!

## [Shortcut: F2 to rename inputs/outputs, procedures](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/shortcut-f2-to-rename-inputs-outputs-procedures/99)

</div>

This would be tremendously helpful to have as a shortcut, for renaming procedures & node input/outputs in-place, without having to go over to the properties panel after clicking either of them.

## [Copy and paste node limits - Frames, Notes not copied](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/copy-and-paste-node-limits-frames-notes-not-copied/109)

</div>

Copying and pasting whole graphs is very useful, but hindered by the lack of copying frames & notes. Currently selecting all and copy/pasting will ignore all the frames & notes.

## [Merge Expandability](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/merge-expandability/80)

</div>

With the Merge, if I have more geometry I’d like to combine together easily, I’d like to be able to add onto an existing merge rather than replacing the merge and rehooking all the wires.

## [Switch Statement](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/switch-statement/79)

I’d really like to be able to switch between several alternate pieces of geometry through a single statement, providing an int to choose which one - I can currently do so with a bunch of 'if’s, each testing equality on t…

I wonder if there is a solution to the spaghettification of the graph In Unreal, Function Inputs are converted automatically into local variables that you can just use Get and plug into whatever you need it for. ver…

## [Automatic Casts when Appropriate / Possible?](https://forums.apparance.uk/t/automatic-casts-when-appropriate-possible/34)

In UE4 whenever I try to drag an Integer to a floating slot, an automatic cast is created. It would be really useful if automatic casts would be created when dragging a line. the target nodes could be colored according…
